Police: Woman shot to death in park was seen with two men less than 2 hours earlier

ATLANTA (CBS46) - Atlanta Police said in a press conference on Friday that Bridget Shiel, a 19-year-old found shot to death in the park was seen with two men before the shooting.

Shiel was seen at a Shell Gas Station at Rockbridge and Memorial Drive in the passengers seat of her car with two unidentified men around 11:30 p.m. Police said a witness told them Shiel looked unsettled.

"The witness said she was under some kind of duress," Atlanta Police Detective David Quinn said. "Clearly while she may have been acquainted with the people in the car she didn't look comfortable and that's what sparked her attention to look in the vehicle."

Police also confirmed Friday that Shiel was shot to death inside the park, evidenced by a 911 call reporting gunshots near the park at 1:06

Man dies after being pinned by car in Kalihi

KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 36-year-old man died Wednesday after he became pinned under his car in a Kalihi neighborhood. 

Emergency crews were first called shortly before 5 p.m. in a cramped neighborhood on Waterhouse Street between Gulick Avenue and Kopke Street. 

"I was just buying a pack of cigarettes and then I walked around the corner, and then I heard 'boom,' and I saw everybody looking and screaming," said Michael Lorne, who lives in the neighborhood.

Fire crews had first thought they were responding to an assault. Instead, they found the man pinned under a four-door sedan.

"I seen the guy and I walked over there, and he was stuck under there," said Lorne. "He had blood coming out of his mouth and he was barely breathing."

Crews were able to free the man from under the car, but he was pronounced dead shortly afterward. 

Lorne had tried to help.

"I was asking everyone to lift the car, but nobody wanted to because they were scared he was going to die," he said.

According to police, the car did not belong to the drive,r but it was not reported as stolen, and the driver's belongings were in the vehicle.

At this point, investigators believe the man somehow fell out of the car, when then rolled on top of him. But they're still trying to determine exactly why that happened. 

The HPD traffic division is conducting the investigation. No suspects are being sought, and homicide detectives
